Family background:
A warm and professional family based in Chiswick (W4) is looking for a gentle, development-focused nanny to care for their 1-year-old daughter. The family follows Muslim values and would like someone who shares a similar faith or has a good understanding and respect for Islamic practices.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Provide a nurturing, child-led environment following gentle and connection-based parenting principles (no strict discipline or sleep training).

• Plan and engage the child in age-appropriate developmental activities at home and outdoors (parks, museums, local library classes, etc.).

• Support the child’s language development through active communication and conversation.

• Prepare healthy, balanced halal meals for the child.

• Take care of child-related housekeeping only (laundry, tidying play areas, meal prep, etc.).

• Accompany the child to the mosque every Friday, introducing her gently to Islamic traditions and prayers.

• Optional: occasional travel with the family to the Middle East.

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Friday – 10 hours per day (30 hours/week)

• Flexibility appreciated during holidays or travel periods.

Salary:

• £15 net per hour

• Approx. £540 gross/week

Requirements:

• Previous experience with babies/toddlers in private households.

• Knowledge and respect for Muslim practices; ability to guide a young child in Islamic values.

• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

• Warm, patient, and developmentally minded.
