A professional family based in Herne Hill / Dulwich (SE21) is seeking a full-time French-speaking nanny to care for their two children aged 4 years and 6 months. Both parents work full-time, and the role is fully sole charge. The nanny will focus primarily on the baby during the day, support the introduction to solids, and collect the 4-year-old from school in late afternoon. During school holidays, the nanny may occasionally have both children full-time.

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 19:00 (50 hours per week)

Salary

• £19–£22 gross/hour

• Weekly gross: £950–£1,100

Role Overview

The nanny will provide consistent, nurturing care for both children, with a strong focus on the baby, including weaning and early feeding support. The family needs someone experienced and structured. The nanny must maintain routines, manage both children during school holidays, and speak French at all times with the children.

Main Responsibilities

• Full-time care for the baby

• Support and manage the introduction to solids

• School pick-up for the 4-year-old between 16:00 and 17:30

• Occasional full care of both children during school holidays

• Establish and maintain routines

• Maintain strong communication with parents

Nanny Duties

• Baby care (naps, bottles, weaning, playtime)

• Introduction to solids and food preparation

• School runs

• French-speaking engagement throughout the day

• Developmental activities for both children

• Planning holiday schedules and outings

• Organising playdates

• Preparing meals for both children, including meal planning and grocery shopping

• Bath and bedtime routine for the baby

• Tidying play areas

• Children’s laundry

Child-related Housekeeping

• Sterilising bottles

• Maintaining nursery organisation

• Tidying children’s rooms

• No deep cleaning

Requirements

• French-speaking nanny

• Strong baby experience, including weaning

• Experience with preschool-aged children

• Comfortable with sole charge

• Organised, reliable, and proactive

• Must be comfortable having both children full-time during school holidays

• DBS + Paediatric First Aid
