A British family based in Camden Square is looking for an educated, creative, Italian-speaking nanny to care for their three daughters, with sole charge of the youngest (18 months) during the day. This is a long-term role requiring strong organisational skills and a proactive, nurturing approach.

Children

• 18-month-old girl (sole charge during the day)

• Two girls aged almost 6 and 4 (after school only)

Working Hours

• Contract can be set between 20 and 40 hours/week, depending on the nanny’s preference

• Hours worked across 4 or 5 days, Monday to Friday

• Day span of the household: 08:00–19:00, with the nanny working only the contracted hours within that window

Salary

• £22–£24 gross/hour

• Weekly gross (approx.):

  • 20h: £440–£480

  • 40h: £880–£960

Start Date

• End of January / Beginning of February

• One dog in the home

Role Overview

The nanny will plan age-appropriate activities for the toddler, support the development of all three girls, and speak exclusively Italian with them to strengthen their language acquisition. Mum works from home on her own projects and assists with dinner and bath time. A full-time housekeeper is present (Mon–Fri, 10:00–18:00) and handles cleaning, laundry, and food preparation.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide sole charge care for the toddler and support the after-school routine for the older girls

• Support Italian language development through conversation, songs, play, and daily routines

• Plan creative, educational, and age-appropriate activities

• Organise and coordinate journeys between school, home, and extracurricular activities

• Prepare bags daily for the following day and week

• Maintain organised wardrobes, monitoring seasonal changes and clothing fit

• Rotate toys and maintain an organised, uncluttered play environment

• Coordinate with the housekeeper to support the girls’ healthy, varied diet

Nanny Duties

• Organise stimulating developmental activities

• Prepare snacks/bottles as needed for the toddler

• Take the girls to/from clubs and activities

• Support after-school routine and transitions

• Maintain order in play areas, bedroom spaces, and children’s belongings

• Keep children’s schedule and items prepared in advance

Child-related Housekeeping

• Wardrobe management (by child)

• Toy rotation and play area maintenance

• Packing/unpacking bags for school and activities

• No deep cleaning (housekeeper employed full-time)

PA/Household Duties

• None required beyond child-related organisation

Requirements

• University degree

• Fluent Italian (Italian nationality accepted but not essential)

• Strong experience with young children

• Creative, proactive, organised profile

• Comfortable working in a home with a dog

• Up-to-date DBS & Paediatric First Aid (confirm if you want these added)
