A professional family based in Holloway, North London (N7) is seeking an experienced live-out nanny to provide sole-charge care for their baby. The position is currently offered under one working pattern, with openness to increased hours in the future.

• £25–£30 gross per hour

Role Overview

Sole-charge care of a 7-month-old baby, with a strong emphasis on providing a highly enriching and stimulating environment. This is a development-focused role suited to a proactive nanny who enjoys planning varied daily outings and activities.

The family’s key priority is that the baby benefits from daily experiences outside the home, such as walks, playgroups, museums, and other age-appropriate activities, with each day offering something slightly different.

The nanny will also be expected to provide active support for key developmental milestones, including crawling, standing, and early walking. This will involve researching and implementing appropriate exercises and activities to support the baby’s physical and cognitive development.

The baby is fed with formula and expressed breast milk via bottle, and the nanny must be confident with feeding routines and the weaning process.

Main Responsibilities

• Sole-charge care of the baby

• Providing a rich, varied, and stimulating daily environment

• Daily outings, walks, and external activities

• Supporting key developmental milestones through targeted activities

• Implementing and maintaining daily routines

• Bottle feeding (formula and expressed breast milk)

• Supporting the weaning process

• Ensuring a safe, calm, and nurturing environment

Nanny Duties

• Preparing bottles and sterilising equipment

• Preparing baby meals during the weaning stage

• Feeding and monitoring intake

• Nappy changes and hygiene care

• Planning and organising age-appropriate activities and outings

• Cleaning and tidying after meals and activities

• Cleaning the kitchen after use

• Emptying the dishwasher when required

• Taking out the rubbish when full

• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment on a daily basis

Child-related Housekeeping

• Baby laundry

• Cleaning bottles, sterilisers, and feeding equipment

• Tidying the nursery and play areas

No deep cleaning – light cleaning and tidying related to daily use only.

Requirements

• Proven experience with babies around 6–9 months old

• Strong knowledge of early development and milestones

• Confident planning outings and enrichment activities

• Confident with bottle feeding and weaning

• Excellent English – minimum C1 level

• Reliable, organised, and confident in sole-charge roles

• DBS check (preferred or willing to obtain)

• Paediatric First Aid (preferred)
