A family based in Dorset is looking for a temporary French-speaking nanny to care for their two young children while their usual nanny is on holiday. This is a live-in role for 10 consecutive days, ideal for a nanny who enjoys outdoor play and countryside living.

Working Hours
Live-in position – 10 consecutive days
Paid hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Negotiable depending on experience

Role Overview
The nanny will be responsible for the daily care and wellbeing of two young children in the family home in Dorset. The family lives on a farm, providing a wonderful countryside environment for outdoor play and activities. The mother is currently six months pregnant, so the family is looking for a reliable and hands-on nanny who can keep the children engaged and active during the day while supporting their routines.
Main Responsibilities
Nanny Duties
• Provide attentive care for both children throughout the day
• Plan age-appropriate activities and playtime
• Encourage outdoor play and exploration around the farm environment
• Support daily routines including meals, naps, and bath time
• Encourage learning through play and interaction
• Ensure the children’s safety and wellbeing at all times
Child-related Housekeeping
• Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children
• Keep children’s areas tidy and organised
• Maintain toys, clothes, and daily items in order
• Children’s laundry if required
• No deep cleaning
Requirements
• Fluent French speaker
• Previous experience with toddlers and young children
• Energetic and proactive approach to childcare
• Comfortable with countryside and farm environments
• Available for the full period 7–17 April
• Flexible and comfortable in a live-in role
