A family based in Shepherd’s Bush, W12 is looking for an active and reliable French-speaking nanny to care for their two young children.
The family already employs a full-time nanny and is looking for a second nanny to support ideally two full days and one half day per week, depending on the nanny’s availability.

Children

• Girl aged 4 in September
• Boy aged 2.5 in September

Working Hours

• Ideally two full days and one half day per week
• 20 to 30 hours per week
• Hours depending on the nanny’s availability
• The family is flexible with hours
• Start time ideally from 7:30am
• The family can also consider afternoon-only availability if needed

Salary

• £18 net per hour
• £422.82 to £687.52 gross per week

Role Overview

The family is looking for a very active, energetic and engaging nanny who can support the children’s routines, nursery pick-ups and activities.
The nanny must speak French at all times with the children and encourage their language development through daily interaction, play and activities.

One child has a nut intolerance, so the nanny must be very careful with food, snacks and ingredients.

Main Responsibilities

Nanny Duties

• Speak French to the children at all times
• Pick up both children from nursery
• Support the children’s daily routines
• Organise age-appropriate activities
• Encourage French language development
• Take the children to activities and classes
• Support the older child with football
• Support the younger child with ballet
• Plan active outings and outdoor play
• Prepare simple and healthy meals/snacks for the children
• Ensure all food is suitable due to nut intolerance
• Check food labels and ingredients carefully
• Support bath and bedtime routine if needed
• Work alongside the family’s full-time nanny
• Keep the children safe, stimulated and engaged

Child-related Housekeeping

• Tidy up after the children
• Keep play areas organised
• Clean up after meals and snacks
• Maintain children’s belongings in order
• Children’s laundry if required
• No deep cleaning

Requirements

• Fluent French speaker
• Must speak French consistently with the children
• Active, energetic and proactive
• Experience with toddlers and preschool-aged children
• Confident with nursery pick-ups
• Confident supporting children’s routines and activities
• Careful and responsible with food intolerances/allergies
• Comfortable working alongside another nanny
• Reliable, organised and safety-conscious
• DBS check preferred
• Paediatric First Aid preferred
