A family based in North Kensington, W10 is looking for a French-speaking Junior Live-in Nanny to care for their daughter, aged 10 years old.

This is a live-in position with separate accommodation provided. The nanny will have her own flat. The family is looking for someone reliable, responsible, discreet and flexible.

One girl, aged 10 years old.

Working Hours

Approximately 26 hours per week.

Contracted hours:

Monday: 3:30pm – 9:00pm
Tuesday: 3:30pm – 9:00pm
Wednesday: 3:30pm – 9:00pm
Thursday: 3:30pm – 9:00pm
Friday: 3:30pm – 7:30pm

Total: 26 hours per week.

The family may require some flexibility, including around two weekends per month. The exact schedule will be confirmed by the family.

Salary

£17,184 gross per year
£1,432 gross per month
Approximately £330.46 gross per week
Approximately £12.71 gross per hour, based on 26 hours per week.

A £30 per day grocery allowance is provided.

Accommodation

Separate live-in accommodation provided.

The nanny will have her own private flat, separate from the main family living space.

Accommodation and utility bills are covered by the family.

Role Overview

The nanny will support the family with after-school care, evening routines, weekend support when required, and light child-related duties.

This role is suitable for a junior nanny profile who is confident, sensible, discreet and able to work independently in a private household.

Main Responsibilities

Nanny Duties

School pick-up or after-school support.
Supervise the child after school.
Support with homework if needed.
Support with reading if needed.
Speak French with the child when appropriate.
Prepare simple meals and snacks for the child.
Organise age-appropriate activities also goe to the cinema museum ect…
Support the evening routine.
Encourage independence and good manners.
Keep the child’s belongings organised.
Prepare school bag and school items when needed.
Support with weekend care when required.
Maintain a calm and positive environment.
Respect the family’s privacy at all times.
No photos or videos of the child to be shared on social media.

Child-related Housekeeping

Keep the child’s bedroom tidy.
Keep play areas tidy.
Help with the child’s laundry if required.
Prepare simple meals and snacks for the child.
Tidy up after meals and activities.
Keep school items organised.
No deep cleaning.

Requirements

French-speaking candidate.
Previous childcare experience preferred.
Suitable for a junior nanny profile.
Reliable and responsible.
Flexible with working hours.
Comfortable with some weekend work.
Discreet and respectful of privacy.
Non-smoker.
No vaping or smoking while on duty.
No unauthorised guests in the family home or accommodation without prior consent.
Must have the right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS and Paediatric First Aid to be confirmed.
