A French-speaking family based between Dubai, Bahrain and Kensington, London is looking for an experienced live-in nanny to care for their two children, aged 3.5 years old and 18 months old.
Both parents are French-speaking. The nanny must be fluent in French and have basic English, as the children attend an English-speaking school.
Children
Two children:
A boy, aged 3.5 years old
A girl, aged 18 months old
Working Hours
Live-in position.
The role will require flexibility due to the family’s international schedule between Dubai, Bahrain and London.
The nanny will work in shared care with the mother, who works part-time from home, while taking responsibility for the children’s day-to-day care.
Occasional evening and weekend support may be required.
Sporadic travel with the family will also be required.
Salary
£50,000 net per year
Approximately £961 net per week
The position will be under a Middle East contract.
Start Date
1 September 2026
The family may offer an overlap week in early August with the current nanny for handover.
Accommodation
Live-in accommodation provided.
The nanny will have her own bedroom and bathroom.
Pets
The family has a poodle.
The nanny must be comfortable with dogs.
Role Overview
The nanny will be responsible for the children’s daily care, routines, development, meals, naps, activities and general well-being.
This is a live-in role within an international household. The nanny must be flexible, discreet and comfortable travelling with the family between Dubai, Bahrain and London.
Main Responsibilities
Nanny Duties
Provide warm, attentive and age-appropriate care.
Plan stimulating indoor and outdoor activities.
Support developmental play and early learning.
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
Manage the children’s feeding schedules.
Support naps and bedtime routines.
Maintain consistent sleep routines.
Dress and change the children.
Support hygiene and daily care.
Assist with potty training when required.
Take the children to activities and appointments when needed.
Coordinate with the mother on routines and schedules.
Share updates on milestones and daily progress.
Administer medication only according to parental instructions.
Keep clear records of any medication given.
Support the children’s health and medical needs as instructed by the parents.
Assist with children’s packing when travelling.
Maintain the children’s routines while abroad.
Child-related Housekeeping
Children’s laundry.
Tidying children’s bedrooms and play areas.
Cleaning bottles and feeding equipment.
Organising children’s clothes, toys and belongings.
Keeping children’s areas tidy and well maintained.
No deep cleaning.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ professional nanny experience.
Strong experience with toddlers and preschool-aged children.
Fluent French required.
Basic English required, as the children attend an English-speaking school.
Comfortable working in a French-speaking and international household.
Must be comfortable with dogs.
Previous live-in experience preferred.
International travel experience preferred.
Clean driving licence advantageous, but not essential.
Calm, patient and proactive.
Reliable and well organised.
Discreet and professional.
Flexible with working hours and travel.
The family will arrange the relevant visa where required.
Paediatric First Aid preferred.
Police check / DBS or equivalent background check preferred.
