A family based in Notting Hill, W11 is looking for an experienced French-speaking rota nanny to care for their two children, aged 5 years old and 6 months old.

The family already employs another rota nanny and two full-time housekeepers. The role will be childcare-focused.

Children

Two children: 5 years old and 6 months old.

Working Hours

Rota position.

The family is flexible on the rota pattern and can consider:

One week on / one week off

or

Two weeks on / two weeks off

The nanny will live in during her working rota.

The second rota nanny will take over during the nanny’s time off.

The family travels regularly, so flexibility and availability to travel are essential.

Salary

£65,000 – £75,000 gross per year

Approximately £1,250 – £1,442 gross per week, averaged across the year

ASAP but can wait for the rught candidate

Accommodation

Private bedroom and bathroom provided during working rota shifts only.

Role Overview

The family is looking for a professional, experienced and organised French-speaking rota nanny to provide high-quality care for their two children.

The role will include caring for the baby’s daily routine, supporting naps, feeds, hygiene, playtime and development, as well as assisting with the older child’s routine, activities and general care.

The nanny must be confident working in a staffed household and able to work smoothly alongside another rota nanny and two full-time housekeepers.

Main Responsibilities

Nanny Duties

Care for both children during working rota shifts
Follow the baby’s daily routine carefully
Prepare and give bottles as instructed
Support naps and sleep routines
Change nappies and maintain good hygiene
Support bath time and bedtime routine
Organise age-appropriate play and activities
Encourage French language through daily interaction
Read, talk, sing and play with the children
Support tummy time and baby development
Take the baby for walks and outings
Organise activities for the 5-year-old
Support the older child’s daily routine
Prepare children’s snacks and simple meals if required
Travel with the family when needed
Work alongside the other rota nanny during handovers
Provide clear updates to the parents and household team

Baby / Infant Duties

Bottle preparation and sterilising
Follow feeding instructions precisely
Support breast milk and formula feeding routine
Monitor naps, feeds and general wellbeing
Keep baby stations clean and organised
Wash and sterilise baby bottles
Sanitise baby toys and baby areas
Manage baby laundry if needed
Change baby towels, sheets and sleeping bags as required
Empty and sanitise nappy bins
Maintain high hygiene standards throughout the day

Child-related Housekeeping

Keep children’s bedrooms tidy
Keep play areas tidy and organised
Organise children’s clothes and belongings
Prepare children’s bags for outings and travel
Wash and sterilise bottles
Keep nursery and baby areas clean
No deep cleaning
No general housekeeping, as the family employs two full-time housekeepers

Requirements

Fluent French speaker
Strong experience with babies and young children
Previous rota nanny experience preferred
Confident with babies from 6 months old
Able to follow a detailed routine
Calm, organised and professional
Comfortable working in a staffed household
Flexible and happy to travel with the family
European passport required for travel
Discreet and reliable
Able to provide excellent references
Enhanced DBS check preferred
Paediatric First Aid preferred
