A lovely family based in Ladbroke Grove (W10) is looking for a warm, mature and experienced French-speaking nanny to care for their cheerful and intelligent 6-year-old son. The role is after-school, with flexibility on exact days and hours depending on the child’s activity schedule.

Days & Hours:

• 3 to 4 afternoons per week (Monday to Friday – flexible days)

• Approximately 3.30pm to 6.30pm (exact hours may vary slightly)

• Some occasional evening babysitting

• Start date: As soon as possible

Salary:

• £15 net/hour

• Equivalent to approximately £18.75 gross/hour

• Contract between 9 and 14 hours per week
  → Approx. £168.75–£262.50 gross/week

Duties include:

• Speaking French at all times (English only when necessary, e.g. for homework help)

• Encouraging the child to reply in French, with a playful and light-hearted approach

• Supporting homework and musical practice

• Preparing simple, healthy meals

• Taking the child to parks, museums, sports and activities

• Ensuring calm, kind and consistent discipline – no shouting or harsh punishment

• Promoting healthy habits (minimal sugar, possible gluten/dairy-free trial)

The ideal candidate:

• Speaks fluent French

• Is calm, patient, and full of positive energy

• Has relevant experience with school-aged children

• Is mature, responsible, and fun

• Can cook healthy meals and enjoys being active

• Is non-smoker, with a healthy lifestyle

• Can offer some flexibility with schedule
