A warm and professional family based in Fen Ditton, Cambridge, is looking for a French-speaking nanny to support the care of their toddler and infant in a long-term, part-time role. The family places strong value on bilingual upbringing (English/French) and outdoor-focused childcare.

Optional additional hours (nursery drop-off/pick-up) Monday–Wednesday if desired
Salary

£15–£18 gross per hour

£300–£360 gross per week (based on 20 hours)
Accommodation (if live-in option required)
• Temporary live-in arrangement available initially if needed
• Role remains part-time (20 hours per week)
• Position transitions to live-out once the nanny is settled

Role Overview
This role will initially be shared care while the mother is on maternity leave and will transition to sole charge from December 2026 / January 2027. The nanny will support the children’s daily routines, promote French language exposure, and provide stimulating, age-appropriate care.
Main Responsibilities

Providing attentive and developmentally appropriate care

Supporting French language development through daily interaction

Planning engaging activities and outings
-
Managing routines for both toddler and infant
Nanny Duties
-
Preparing age-appropriate meals and snacks for the children

Organising indoor and outdoor activities
-
Taking children to local classes, playgroups, and outings
-
Using the family’s cargo bike for local transport if needed
-
Supporting sleep routines and daily structure
Maternity / Newborn Duties
-
Supporting care of the baby alongside the parent initially
-
Bottle preparation and feeding support (if applicable)
-
Nappy changes and hygiene routines
-
Assisting with settling and naps
Child-related Housekeeping

Tidying children’s areas
-
Keeping play spaces clean and organised
-
Children’s laundry if required
-
No deep cleaning
Requirements
-
Fluent French speaker (essential)
-
Proven experience with toddlers and infants
-
Comfortable with outdoor play and active childcare

DBS checked (or willing to obtain)
-
Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willing to obtain – cost covered)

Comfortable cycling / using a cargo bike
-
Right to Work in the UK
