Short Introduction

A well-established family based in Kensington (W14) is seeking an experienced French-speaking nanny to join an existing childcare team. This is a shared-care, long-term position within a structured and professional household environment.

Children

• Three children:

  • One child aged 4 years

  • One child aged 2 years

  • One infant

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday

• 12:00 – 20:30

• Approx. 40–42.5 hours per week

Salary

• £25–£27 gross per hour

• Weekly gross salary: £1,000–£1,147.50 (depending on final rate and hours)

• ASAP / Flexible for the right candidate

Role Overview

This is a shared-care role, working alongside another French-speaking nanny who covers the morning shift (7:00–15:00). The successful candidate will be responsible for the afternoon and evening care of the children, ensuring continuity, structure, and high standards of care within a team-based setup.

Main Responsibilities

• Shared care of three children

• Coordination with the morning nanny

• Managing afternoon and evening routines

• Supporting children’s education and development

• Ensuring consistency across the childcare team

Nanny Duties

• School and nursery pick-ups for the 4- and 2-year-old

• Organising and supervising extra-curricular activities

• Arranging playdates

• Overseeing homework and early learning tasks

• Preparing children’s dinner

• Bath time and bedtime routines

• Speaking French consistently with the children

Child-related Housekeeping

• Tidying play areas

• Children’s laundry

• Organising children’s belongings

• No deep cleaning

Requirements

• Fluent French speaker

• Strong command of English

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a nanny or in early childhood education

• Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred but not essential)

• Experience working in staffed or team-based households

• Experience with 4+ / 7+ entrance exam preparation is a strong advantage

• DBS checked (or willing to obtain)

• Paediatric First Aid certified (or willing to update)
