Professional family based in Notting Hill is seeking an experienced French nanny to care for two children in a fully staffed household. This is a sole-charge position with occasional shared care alongside another nanny/housekeeper.

Children

• One child aged 5 years

• One newborn (4 weeks old at start)

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday

• 9:00am – 6:00pm

• 45 hours per week

Salary

• £19–£22 gross per hour

• £855–£990 gross per week (45h)

Start Date

• March (mother returning to work in April)

Role Overview

Live-out sole-charge nanny role within a small fully staffed household (two housekeepers). The nanny will be responsible for the newborn during the day and the older child after school, with occasional shared care with another nanny/housekeeper.

Main Responsibilities

• Full care of the newborn during the day

• After-school care for the 5-year-old

• Supporting a bilingual French/English environment

• Following established routines

• Working collaboratively with household staff

Nanny Duties

• Newborn care and daily routines

• Bottle feeding (breastmilk and formula)

• Supporting breastfeeding routine as required

• Child development through age-appropriate activities

• Outdoor activities and supervised play

• Escorting the older child to activities (swimming, piano)

• School pick-up at 4:00pm (school located directly in front of the house)

• Occasional School dropp off or pick up

• Encouraging good manners and independence

• Must travel with the family

Maternity / Newborn Duties

• Supporting newborn feeding routine

• Assisting with sleep routines

• Maintaining a calm and structured environment

• Monitoring developmental milestones

Child-related Housekeeping

• Tidying children’s rooms and play areas

• Children’s laundry

• Keeping nursery items clean and organised

• No deep cleaning (fully staffed household)

Requirements

• Fluent French speaker

• Strong experience with newborns

• Confident swimmer (children attend swimming lessons)

• Comfortable working in a fully staffed household

• Team-player mindset

• Reliable, calm and organised profile
