Language required: French (native or fluent)
Hourly rate: £16 net/hour
Estimated weekly pay:
– Option 1 or 2: £16 net per hour approx. £246 gross/week
– Option 3: £16 net per hour
The Family
A welcoming and organised family based in NW10 is looking for a reliable and engaging French-speaking nanny to care for their 8-year-old daughter after school. Although one parent works from home, the nanny must be fully autonomous and in charge during working hours without supervision.
Main Responsibilities
Collect the child from the French school in Ladbroke Grove at 5pm (30-minute bus ride or 35-minute walk to the family home)
Reheat or prepare a pre-planned dinner
Support with French homework (CE1 level – approx. 8–10 minutes, not daily)
Supervise bath or shower and help with bedtime routine (pyjamas, ready for bed by 7:45pm)
Tidy up toys used during play and load dishwasher after meals
Occasional additional hours to support with light household tasks
Preparing meals for the child in advance
Running small errands when required
Very light cleaning tasks related to the child
Working Hours
Monday to Friday – 5pm to 8pm
No work during French school holidays
Additional Hours
Occasional additional hours may be offered depending on the family’s needs, including light household support and meal preparation for the child.
From September, the family can offer additional hours on Wednesdays, with a school pick-up from midday instead of after-school club.
Ideal Candidate
Fluent French speaker
Energetic, caring, creative and reliable personality
Able to engage with the child and maintain a respectful and positive rapport
Strong experience with children aged 6 to 10
Comfortable following a clear family routine
Fully autonomous, even when a parent is present in the home
Up-to-date DBS check required
Recent and checkable references required
Commitment for the full academic year (September to July)
Happy to support with light child-related household tasks when needed
Contract renewable from September for the right candidate.
