A single mother relocating from Sydney in April 2026 is seeking a calm, nurturing and experienced French-speaking nanny to care for her 3.5-year-old son. This is a long-term position focused on emotional support, stability, and continuity during a major transition.

Working Hours
• Immediate start (before September):
– Monday & Tuesday: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

• From September (school period):
– Monday & Tuesday: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (required)
– Wednesday & Thursday: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (optional)


Salary
• £15–£18 gross per hour (depending on experience)
• Approx. £360 – £576 gross per week (core schedule)
• Up to £696 gross per week if additional hours are worked
• Paid holidays

• ASAP

Role Overview
The mother is looking for a calm and nurturing nanny to support her sensitive 3.5-year-old son through a major international relocation.

She is seeking someone emotionally attuned, patient, and able to build a secure and trusting relationship. This is a long-term position, with a strong emphasis on providing consistency and emotional stability.

The family values a warm, positive, and structured approach to childcare. Experience supporting children through transitions (new environment, separation, school start) is highly valued. French-speaking is strongly preferred to maintain cultural continuity.


Main Responsibilities
• Provide calm, nurturing, and consistent care
• Support emotional regulation and reassurance
• Build a secure and trusting relationship
• Maintain structure and clear boundaries
• Support adaptation to a new environment


Nanny Duties
• Organising age-appropriate activities
• Supporting emotional development through play
• Preparing healthy meals for the child
• Assisting with daily routines
• School drop-offs and pick-ups from September
• Supporting transition to school starting September


Child-related Housekeeping
• Keeping play areas clean and organised
• Child’s laundry
• Tidying up after meals and activities
• No deep cleaning


Requirements
• French-speaking nanny (strongly preferred)
• Experience with preschool-aged children
• Experience supporting transitions and separation
• Calm, patient, and emotionally aware
• Able to provide structure and consistency
• Driver preferred but not essential
• Must be comfortable with pets
