A family based in W2 is looking for a French or English-speaking after-school nanny to care for their 6-year-old child.
The family is looking for someone reliable, organised and confident with school-age children. A very good level of English is essential, as the child’s homework is in English.
Children
One child, aged 6 years old.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 2:00pm – 6:00pm
Total: 20 hours per week.
The family may also require occasional babysitting, to be agreed in advance.
Salary
£19 to £22 gross per hour.
£380 to £440 gross per week.
Start Date
September.
Role Overview
The nanny will support the family after school, helping with the child’s routine, homework, activities and light child-related duties.
From 2:00pm to 3:00pm, the nanny will prepare the child’s dinner, snack and laundry before school pick-up.
The child may sometimes attend after-school clubs. The nanny will need to follow the child’s schedule and collect him accordingly.
Main Responsibilities
Nanny Duties
School pick-up.
Prepare and give the child his snack.
Support with homework in English.
Organise age-appropriate activities.
Encourage the child’s interests, including violin, football and swimming.
Support the after-school routine.
Help the child get ready for any after-school clubs or activities.
Ensure a calm and smooth end of day.
Handover to the parents at 6:00pm.
Occasional babysitting, if agreed in advance.
Child-related Housekeeping
Prepare the child’s dinner.
Prepare the child’s snack.
Take care of the child’s laundry.
Keep the child’s areas tidy.
Tidy up after meals and activities.
No deep cleaning.
Requirements
French or English speaker.
Very good level of English essential.
Confident helping with homework in English.
Previous experience with school-age children.
Reliable, organised and proactive.
Able to follow the child’s school and activity schedule.
Enhanced DBS check.
Paediatric First Aid certificate.
Excellent references.
