A family based in Southwark, SE17, is looking for an experienced, ideally Spanish-speaking live-out nanny to care for their baby boy, who will be 6 months old when the position starts in mid-September 2026.
This is a permanent live-out position working three days per week. The family is looking for a confident, sunny nanny with strong baby experience who can support their son’s routine, development and transition onto solid foods.
Children
One baby boy, aged 6 months at the start of the role.
Working Hours
Three days a week (precise days open to discussion)
8:30am to 6:30pm.
30 hours per week.
Live-out position.
Occasional overtime upon mutual agreement.
Salary
£19–£23 gross per hour.
Approximately £570–£690 gross per week.
Depending on experience.
Start Date
Mid-September 2026.
Role Overview
The nanny will have sole charge of the baby during working hours and will be responsible for his daily care, routine, development and wellbeing.
The role will include supporting the weaning process, preparing fresh and age-appropriate meals, organising stimulating activities and taking the baby to local classes and outings.
The family would also appreciate a nanny who is happy to travel with them when required.
Main Responsibilities
Providing attentive and age-appropriate care.
Supporting the baby’s daily routine.
Supporting developmental milestones.
Creating a safe and stimulating environment.
Organising age-appropriate activities and outings.
Supporting the weaning process.
Preparing fresh and nutritious meals for the baby.
Travelling with the family when required.
Nanny Duties
Preparing bottles and feeds as required.
Supporting the introduction of solid foods and weaning.
Preparing fresh, healthy and age-appropriate meals.
Introducing a varied and balanced diet.
Encouraging positive mealtime habits.
Managing naps and maintaining an appropriate sleep routine.
Changing nappies and managing daily hygiene.
Dressing the baby and preparing him for the day.
Planning sensory and developmental activities.
Reading, singing and playing with the baby.
Supporting age-appropriate physical, cognitive and social development.
Taking the baby to local baby groups and classes.
Going for walks, park visits and local outings.
Taking the baby swimming, if the nanny is comfortable doing so.
Keeping the parents updated on meals, naps, activities and development.
Child-Related Housekeeping
Baby laundry.
Keeping the baby’s clothes and belongings organised.
Washing and sterilising bottles and feeding equipment.
Cleaning up after meals and food preparation.
Keeping toys, books and play areas tidy.
Preparing and organising the baby’s changing and outing bags.
Keeping baby-related areas clean and organised.
Monitoring baby supplies and informing the parents when items need replacing.
Child-related duties only.
No deep cleaning or general household cleaning.
Travel
The family would ideally like a nanny who is happy to travel with them when required.
Travel arrangements and any additional hours will be agreed in advance.
Requirements.
Previous professional experience caring for babies.
Confident caring for babies from 6 months onwards.
Strong knowledge of weaning and age-appropriate nutrition.
Good understanding of baby routines and developmental milestones.
Confident organising activities and outings independently.
Reliable, organised and proactive and sunny.
Happy to travel with the family when required.
Enhanced DBS check.
Valid Paediatric First Aid certificate.
Desired
Fluent Spanish speaker, but fluent speakers of other non-English languages will also be considered.
