A family based in Maida Vale, W9, is looking for a warm, experienced and reliable full-time live-out nanny to care for their two young children.
This is a sole-charge position for their 6-month-old baby while the eldest child attends school during the day. The family is open to either a French-speaking or English-speaking nanny. The position is to start at the end of September 2026.

The working hours are non-negotiable. Candidates must be available to start at 6:45am every morning. Please do not apply if you are unable to commit to this start time.
Salary
£19 to £22 gross per hour
Approximately £1,045 to £1,210 gross per week

Role Overview
The nanny will have sole charge of the family’s 6-month-old baby throughout the day while the eldest child is at school.
The eldest child attends school. The nanny will usually be responsible for the morning school drop-off and afternoon collection, although the parents may occasionally assist.
On Wednesdays, the eldest child finishes school at 12:30pm. The nanny will therefore care for both children for the remainder of the day.
The family is looking for someone warm, nurturing, organised and confident caring for both a baby and a preschool-aged child.
Main Responsibilities
Provide sole-charge care for the baby
Care for both children when the eldest child is at home
Ensure the children’s safety and wellbeing
Maintain a consistent daily routine
Support the children’s development
Plan age-appropriate activities
Communicate regularly with the parents
Nanny Duties
Prepare the children in the morning
School drop-offs for the eldest child, with the school approximately a 10-minute walk from the family home
School collections when required, with the school approximately a 10-minute walk from the family home
Wednesday school collection at 12:30pm
Care for the baby throughout the day
Prepare bottles and age-appropriate meals
Support feeding and weaning routines
Manage naps and sleep routines
Change nappies
Plan age-appropriate activities
Arrange walks, playgroups and local outings
Support the eldest child’s learning and development
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for both children
Manage bath time when required
Keep the children’s areas organised
Maintain the children’s routine
Child-Related Housekeeping
Keep the nursery and children’s bedrooms tidy
Clean bottles and feeding equipment
Keep the kitchen tidy after preparing the children’s meals
Tidy toys and play areas
Keep the pram and children’s equipment organised
No deep cleaning
All housekeeping duties are strictly child-related
Requirements
Previous professional nanny experience
Experience caring for babies and preschool-aged children
Confident working in a sole-charge position
Warm, caring and reliable
Organised and punctual
French-speaking or English-speaking
Confident managing school drop-offs and collections
Good knowledge of baby routines, feeding and development
Enhanced DBS check
Paediatric First Aid certificate
Right to work in the UK
Able to commit to a long-term position
Must be fully available for the non-negotiable 6:45am start
