A family based in Lancaster Gate, W2 is looking for a professional French-speaking nanny to care for their 12-month-old daughter.
This is a sole charge role. The family is looking for someone experienced, reliable and confident with babies and toddlers. The nanny will be expected to speak only French with the child to help develop her French language skills from an early age.

9:00am to 7:00pm
50 hours per week
Salary
£20 to £22 gross per hour
Approximately £1,000 to £1,100 gross per week
Approximately £52,000 to £57,200 gross per year

Role Overview
The nanny will be responsible for the child’s full daily routine, including meals, naps, age-appropriate activities and all child-related duties.
The child usually naps from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. During this time, the nanny will be expected to carry out nanny duties and prepare the child’s evening meal in advance.
Main Responsibilities
Nanny Duties
- Full care of the child during the day
- Speak only French with the child
- Support and develop the child’s French language skills
- Follow the child’s daily routine
- Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks
- Prepare the evening meal in advance during nap time
- Support nap routine
- Organise age-appropriate activities
- Encourage development through play
- Take the child to local classes, parks and outings
- Keep the child safe, happy and engaged
Child-related Housekeeping
- Tidy up after the child
- Clean bottles, plates and highchair after use
- Keep the child’s bedroom and play areas tidy
- Manage the child’s laundry
- Keep toys organised
- No deep cleaning
Requirements
- French-speaking nanny
- Must speak only French with the child
- Experience with babies and toddlers
- Confident in a sole charge role
- Reliable, organised and proactive
- Paediatric First Aid preferred
- Enhanced DBS check preferred
- Right to work in the UK
