Ref: 1912, After-School Nanny – Chiswick, W4

A warm and well-known family of the agency, based in Chiswick (W4), is looking for an after-school nanny to care for their two children (aged 11 and 8). The family has had the same nanny for the past two years and is now seeking a reliable, kind, and organised person to take over.

Location: Chiswick, W4
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3pm–7pm (20 hours per week)
Salary: £19–£22 gross per hour(equivalent to £380–£440 gross per week)

Children:

• Boy, 11 – returns home independently by school bus (drops him close to the house). He also needs support with homework (supervision to ensure homework is done and the homework diary is signed each evening if parents are not there).

• Girl, 8 – needs to be collected from school (30 minutes’ walk or 10 minutes by tube), supported with homework, snack, and shower routine. She also attends after-school activities at least three times a week (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday), where she will need to be dropped off.

Main duties:

• School pick-up for the 8-year-old and drop-off at activities three times a week.

• Supervise homework (in English – excellent level required).

• Oversee snack time and shower routine.

• Ensure the children’s safety and wellbeing at all times.

• Manage the family laundry (washing, folding).

• Keep areas tidy and clean up after yourself (no deep cleaning – a cleaner is employed for that).

• Ensure children’s rooms are kept organised.

• Encourage the children to be independent (clean up after themselves, make their beds, etc.).

Babysitting and holidays:

• Flexibility to babysit one evening per week, usually Thursday or Friday (overtime paid).

• Flexibility during school holidays, with potential extra hours required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience with children of similar ages.

• Excellent level of English (for homework support).

• Valid DBS and Paediatric First Aid required.

• Reliable, caring, and organised.

• Long-term availability (the family is seeking stability).
