Accommodation: Live-in – private bedroom and bathroom provided
Job Details:
- Contract type: Live-in, permanent full-time
- Start date: November 2025 – flexible (December or early January possible)
- Working days and hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 6:45am – 7:15pm
- Friday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
- Salary: £38,000 gross per year
- Holidays: 40 days per year (8 weeks)
Daily Schedule:
Note: The toddler attends pre-school every morning from Monday to Thursday (not on Fridays).
- 7:00am: Take the family’s labrador outside for toileting and feed her breakfast. Wake the children, feed the baby, get the toddler dressed, serve breakfast, help with brushing teeth and washing face.
- 8:30am (Monday to Thursday): Drop off the toddler at pre-school (5-minute walk from the house).
- Morning: Care for the baby (feeding, play, appropriate activities), complete light household duties related to the children (meal preparation, children’s laundry, tidying up) and take the labrador for a walk. On Fridays, care for both children and prepare and serve lunch for the toddler.
- 1:00pm: Pick up the toddler from pre-school (Monday to Thursday). Both children have their lunchtime nap.
- Afternoon: Look after both children, engage them in age-appropriate activities, and give an afternoon snack.
- 5:00pm (Friday): End of working day.
- 5:45pm onwards (Monday to Thursday): Serve children’s dinner, bath time, bedtime story.
- 7:00pm: Bedtime for both children, followed by tidying up and preparing for the next day.
One parent is generally home by 6:15pm to assist with the evening routine.
Live-in Accommodation and Household:
- Private bedroom and bathroom provided
- The family employs a cleaner who comes weekly
- The family has a labrador dog – the nanny must be comfortable with dogs, and will be expected to care for the dog during the day (i.e. feed dog breakfast, take dog for morning walk)
Candidate Profile:
- French or Spanish-speaking
- Junior nannies are welcome to apply. Experience with babies is desirable but not essential – the family is open to a candidate who is responsible and willing to learn
- Warm, trustworthy, and proactive
- Understanding of the children’s need for clear and consistent boundaries and routines
- Comfortable around dogs
- Willing to accompany the family on holidays to the grandparents’ house in the Suffolk countryside and on occasional holidays abroad
